MANDAREE – A female juvenile from Dickinson was seriously injured Monday, Sept. 1, in a vehicle-pedestrian crash east of Mandaree, near Elmer’s Point.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, about 5 p.m. MT, a GMC Sierra pickup driven by a 38-year-old Dickinson man, was backing a boat to park it. The boat was unhitched and the juvenile playing around the vehicle was struck as the tire rolled and pinned her. She was flown to a Bismarck hospital.

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
