This past month of August, the average temperature was 67 degrees which is 0.2 degrees above the 118-year, long-term average of 66.8 degrees, according to Austin Kraklau of the North Central Research Extension Center, south of Minot.

He said the lowest temperature of the month was 43 degrees on Sunday, Aug. 24, and the highest temperature was 91 degrees on Thursday, Aug. 21.

The total moisture for the month was 1.52 inches which is 0.43 inches below the long- term average of 1.95 inches, Kraklau said.
