Alzheimer’s Association offers caregiver class
The Alzheimer’s Association will offer a free virtual presentation, “The Empowered Caregiver: Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior,” on Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 10-11:30 a.m.
The class is designed to increase caregiver confidence while reducing stress. Participants will learn helpful ways to approach the responsibilities of caring for someone living with dementia using a person-centered approach. Learn about the possible reasons for behaviors and ways to address them, including nonmedical and medical approaches.
The presentation is free and open to the public, but registration is required by contacting the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-Dakota Chapter. The project is funded through the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services, Adult and Aging Services Section.
