Woman arrested for child abuse, neglect

A Minot woman has been arrested on outstanding warrants for child abuse, endangerment and neglect, according to the Minot Police Department.
Lindsay Daeley, 39, Minot, has been charged with child abuse, a Class B felony; and child neglect and endangerment of a child, both Class C felonies.
According to Minot Police information, the investigation into Daeley began when her child under the age of 3, who had been under her care for several months, was placed in the care of the father’s family in December 2024. Bruising was found across the child’s body consistent with abuse, according to Minot Police. A subsequent hair follicle test revealed the child had been exposed to methamphetamine.
Minot Police sought the public’s assistance in locating Daeley through a “Help Locate” post and thanked the community for sharing the post, providing tips and helping spread awareness, which it said contributed to Daeley’s safe and timely arrest.
