Tollefson’s Retail Group has announced it will host “Tailgate with the Tollefson’s,” a free community celebration honoring the company’s 100 years of service, growth and local legacy. The event will take place on Aug. 13 at Carpetland, 2100 S. Broadway, Minot, from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

The event will feature free food; activities for all ages, including axe throwing, mobile mini golf and jumping castles; games, giveaways and various surprises throughout the afternoon.

The milestone marks a century for the Tollefson family and the businesses that have grown through it, including Carpetland, Slumberland, Carpet Garage and Tollefson’s Contract Flooring. The tailgate celebration is a way to recognize and thank the communities, families, and team members who have supported this legacy for the past 100 years, the company stated in a news release.

“This gathering is a tribute to the people who made this journey possible – our customers, employees and community members. We are also excited to celebrate what comes next and the next 100 years,” the company stated in the release.
