This year’s annual National Night Out is set for Aug. 5, from 5:30-8 p.m. in Oak Park. This free event is sponsored by Trinity Health, the Minot Police Department, Minot Park District and many other Minot businesses and community agencies.

This community event promotes public safety and gives recognition to those individuals and agencies that keep the community safe. There will be free games, food, prizes and inflatables, as well as educational booths, Trinity Health’s First Response Ground ambulance, law enforcement special equipment displays and Minot Police and Minot Air Force Base K9 demonstrations.

National Night Out is an annual event designed to strengthen communities by encouraging everyone to engage in stronger relationships with each other and with their local law enforcement partners. The goal is to heighten crime-prevention awareness and build support and participation in local anti-crime programs, according to sponsors.
