MACF accepting applications for new grant program
The Minot Area Community Foundation has announced a new grant opportunity through the NWND Fund for Girls. The fund was originally established to support girls in the region and will now be distributed through an annual open grant round to broaden its impact.
This fund is dedicated to supporting programs that help girls build character, confidence, leadership, life skills and strong values. Eligible organizations include nonprofits, schools and charitable groups serving youth in northwest North Dakota.
“We’re excited to expand access to this fund and make sure these dollars are helping girls in the communities they were always meant to support,” said Jason Zimmerman, MACF president, in a news release. “There are so many wonderful programs out there, and this fund is dedicated to making sure they have the support they need.”
Applications are due by Sept. 12. Eligible programs must serve girls or young women in one or more of the following counties: Bottineau, Burke, Divide, McHenry, McKenzie, McLean, Mountrail, Pierce, Renville, Rolette, Sheridan, Ward, Wells and Williams.
