The League of Women Voters of Plum Valley and Atypical Brewery have announced a partnership to celebrate Women’s Equality Day.

Women’s Equality Day is Tuesday, Aug. 26. The public is invited to the celebration on Friday, Aug. 29, beginning at 4 p.m. at Atypical Brewery, 510 E. Central Ave. A food truck selling appetizers and smash burgers and a band will begin playing at 8 p.m.

“We’re excited to celebrate Women’s Equality Day and our mission of empowering Minot voters,” said Cheri Bonebrake, local league president. “We want to acknowledge the hard work of women’s suffrage leaders right here in North Dakota while recognizing there’s more to do to advocate for women’s equality.”
