The Minot Junior Golf Association (MJGA) has announced five recipients of its 2025 senior scholarships, continuing the organization’s mission of supporting local junior golfers in their educational pursuits.

The 2025 MJGA Scholarship recipients are: Samantha Lentz and Kasen Rostad from Minot North High School, Carlie Brown from Minot North High School, John Allen Renaud from Des-Lacs Burlington High School and Joshua Lindbo from South Prairie High School. Lentz will attend the University of North Dakota. Rostad, Brown and Lindbo will attend Minot State University, and Renaud will attend Valley City State University.

“We’re incredibly proud of these outstanding young people,” said Reed Argent, MJGA Board president, in a news release. “They have shown dedication not only to the sport of golf, but also to their academics, their schools and their communities. We look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future.”

Since its establishment in 2016, the MJGA Scholarship Program has provided financial assistance to graduating high school seniors who have participated in school-sanctioned high school golf programs. Although continuing to play golf at the collegiate level is not a requirement, additional consideration is given to students who have participated in MJGA programs and demonstrated a commitment to volunteer service.

Each year, MJGA awards five $4,000 scholarships, distributed over four years.

Starting at $2.99/week.
