Council applicants drop to 15
The number of applicants seeking appointment to the vacant seat on the Minot City Council is down to 15.
Aryan “Ari” Siadat has withdrawn his name from consideration. According to the city, he withdrew because he will not have lived in Minot for at least nine months preceding the election, as required in state law
The Minot City Council will interview the remaining applicants Tuesday at 4 p.m. Council members could choose an applicant to fill the vacancy but also have the option to call for a special election or leave the seat vacant.
