City responds to sewer main collapse, water outage
A collapsed sewer main to a house forced the closure of Sixth Street Southwest between 13th and 14th Avenues Wednesday, Aug. 20, according to City of Minot information. Repairs were expected to have been made by Wednesday evening.
City crews also replaced broken gate valves on a water main on Sixth Avenue Northeast on Tuesday, Aug. 19, to fix an outage affecting numerous homes and other properties in the area. Another one-day outage occurred Aug. 19 at 10th Street and 11th Avenue Northwest as part of an ongoing water main replacement project in northwest Minot, the city reported.
