Upham Fire Supporters formed to strengthen community safety

UPHAM — Upham Fire Supporters, Inc. has announced its formation as a public charity committed to financially and educationally supporting the Upham Fire Protection District (UFPD).

Through fundraising efforts, safety initiatives and public outreach, the organization helps protect both the volunteers who serve and the community they safeguard.

The idea for the organization began in March 2024, when it was determined there was a critical need for a nonprofit to assist the UFPD. The first organizational meeting was held on March 21, 2024, at which the process of establishing board members, bylaws and articles of incorporation began. Two months later, on May 17, 2024, Upham Fire Supporters, Inc. was officially formed with the office of the North Dakota Secretary of State. On this past Feb. 13, the organization reached another milestone by becoming an official 501(c)(3) public charity.

Membership in the Upham Fire Supporters is open to anyone wishing to serve as an auxiliary supporter of the UFPD. Members and donors help strengthen local emergency response capabilities, support firefighter safety and enhance community fire prevention education.
