State Fair sets new attendance record
The 2025 North Dakota State Fair that concluded July 26 set a new all-time attendance record, welcoming 356,552 attendees.
Attendance figures showed a 4.12% increase over 2024’s total of 342,430 and just edged past the previous record of 356,534 set in 2023.
More standout moments included a sold-out Jelly Roll performance and high-energy concerts from Turn Up ND featuring Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Bow Wow and Soulja Boy; Limp Bizkit; Luke Bryan, and others. Strong crowds also turned out for the Ranch Rodeo on July 23 and July 24, making it one of many well-attended events of the week, according to State Fair information. The fair also saw the debut of the Battle of the Rumblehorn, showcasing bull riding and American freestyle bullfighting.
The North Dakota State Parade kicked off the first weekend with about 200 entries. A record-setting Run the Route 5K, with 460 participants, reflected an 8% increase over last year
“Each year, the fair reflects the spirit and energy of our state, and this year was no exception,” said Craig Rudland, NDSF general manager. “We’re grateful to everyone who came out, whether to perform, compete, volunteer or just enjoy a day at the fair. It’s a true community effort, and we couldn’t do it without you.”
Planning is already underway for the 2026 Fair, including the release of the first artist on the Grandstand Showpass, Zach Top, on July 23. Next year’s State Fair will be held July 17-25.
