Public input sought on local transportation plan
The public is invited to provide input on the Minot area’s 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan during a virtual meeting Tuesday from 5-7 p.m.
Phase 2 of the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan, created under the recently formed Central Dakota Metropolitan Planning Organization, builds on the community input gathered in Phase 1 by exploring solutions to the region’s transportation needs. This phase focuses on analyzing data, identifying system gaps and developing draft strategies that reflect what residents value most, whether it’s projects focused on roadway safety, reconstructing current roadways, creating additional routes to key destinations or more options for walking and biking.
Community voices continue to play a key role as planners gather feedback on potential improvements. Through surveys, a virtual open house and online tools, the public can help shape a transportation future that’s connected and ready for 2050.
