Police arrest shooting suspect in northwest Minot
Minot Police arrested a suspect in connection with an early morning shooting in northwest Minot July 24.
According to information from the Minot Police Department, Minot Central Dispatch received a report at 4:52 a.m. of gunshots in northwest Minot. A second report was made by another individual who said a male suspect had fired a gun at them, and they had returned fire.
Police officers responded to the scene, from which the suspect had reportedly fled on foot. The suspect was located and taken into custody several blocks away without incident. The suspect was identified as Isaac D. LaRocque, 18, Minot, who was known to be an acquaintance of the victims.
LaRocque was arrested on four counts of terrorizing and one count of reckless endangerment-extreme indifference, all Class C felonies. LaRocque was transported to the Ward County Jail.
The Minot Police Department indicated no injuries were reported, and the incident remains under investigation.
