The City of Minot has announced the closure of roads Saturday morning for the annual North Dakota State Parade.

According to the City, the parade route will begin from the intersection of 18th Avenue Southwest and South Broadway, and proceed north to Burdick Expressway. The route will continue east on Burdick, ending at the ND State Fairgrounds. The parade is preceded by the “Run the Route 5K, which starts at 8:45 a.m.

Officers will begin blocking traffic at 8 a.m. starting with South Broadway from 18th Avenue Southwest to Burdick Expressway. Burdick Expressway East will be blocked to traffic beginning at 8:30 a.m. for the duration of the parade.

Motorists are asked to use alternate routes.
