Mosquito spraying canceled due to low count
The City of Minot, in conjunction with Minot Air Force Base and the Ohio Air National
Guard, has canceled the July aerial spraying for mosquito control for the City of Minot due to low mosquito counts, the city announced Tuesday.
The greater Minot area may choose to continue participation for July. The City of Minot captures daily mosquito counts throughout the city. The current count is holding at 44, according to the city. It was anticipated that the spray mission would likely be cancelled if the mosquito count was below 200.
A spraying mission remains scheduled for the week of Aug. 4-8.
