MHA Indian Horse Relay canceled tonight due to track conditions
Due to significant rainfall and resulting track conditions, the North Dakota State Fair and the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara (MHA) Nation have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s MHA Indian Horse Relay, according to State Fair information.
The safety of the horses and their riders remains the top priority. After a careful evaluation of the track following recent rains, officials determined that continuing with the event would pose unnecessary risk to both participants and animals.
“We know how much our guests and the riders look forward to this event,” said Craig Rudland, North Dakota State Fair manager. “This was not an easy decision, but the safety of all involved must come first. We’re incredibly grateful to MHA Nation for their partnership and to the fans for their understanding.”
