Four injured in McHenry County crash
Four people were injured July 25 in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and N.D. Highway 41. The intersection is controlled by a stop sign for traffic traveling on Highway 41.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by a 20-year-old female from Minot, was traveling northbound on Highway 41 when the driver failed to stop at the posted stop sign and entered the intersection directly in front of an eastbound Chevrolet Equinox on Highway 2. The Equinox struck the Santa Fe in a T-bone-style collision.
The driver of the Equinox, a 19-year-old male from Belcourt, sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene. The passenger of the Equinox, a 17-year-old male from Belcourt, and both the driver and passenger, a 20-year-old male from Minot, of the Santa Fe sustained serious injuries and were transported to a Minot hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Santa Fe was arrested for criminal vehicular injury, according to the Highway Patrol.
Names of those involved in the crash were not released at this time. The name of the juvenile will not be released, the Highway Patrol reported.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
