Food Frenzy Competition winners announced

The North Dakota State Fair has announced the winners of the 2025 Food Frenzy Competition.

Held on Friday, the contest highlighted some of the fair’s most flavorful, inventive and crowd-pleasing dishes, according to State Fair information.

Judged by a panel of food enthusiasts and public voters, the competition featured dozens of entries across three categories. This year’s winners delivered both creativity and deliciousness, truly capturing the spirit of fair food.

Lavish Libation

– Winner: Top Concessions’ “Sunset Swirl” is a creamy pineapple float with strawberry and a splash of cream.

– Runner-Up: Meg-a-Latte’s “Firecracker Lemonade” is an explosive strawberry lemonade with a bold citrusy twist.

Sugary Sensation

– Winner: The Funky Flamingo’s Caramel Chocolate Bacon Dipped Cheesecake.

– Runner-Up: Amish Annie’s donuts, Cotton Candy Crunch, Soft Serve Ice Cream.

Tasty Temptation

– Winner: Little Blue Elephant’s “What the Hack Roll” sushi with snow crab, cream cheese, shrimp tempura, deep fried.

– Runner-Up: Sue’s Concessions – All About Bacon’s “Yard Dog” is a bacon-wrapped chicken on a stick on a bun.

These dishes were selected based on flavor, creativity, presentation and overall appeal. Fairgoers are encouraged to sample the winning entries and explore other options throughout the fairgrounds.
