Victim of fatal crash near Douglas identified
DOUGLAS – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a fatal crash on Thursday near Douglas.
Gorlyn Wohlk, 80, Douglas, died in the crash. He was driving a 2022 John Deere side by side and traveling west on a road one mile west of Douglas. A 2014 Kenworth cement truck, driven by Richard Spaulding, 68, Minot, also traveling west, began to pass the side by side when Wohlk made a left turn in front of the truck and was struck by the truck. Spaulding, who was injured, was taken to a Minot hospital.
