Suspects in fleeing incident being sought
Two males and a female are being sought in connection with a fleeing incident in Sioux and Morton counties on Monday.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, about 10:38 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Department pursued a vehicle from Sioux County into Morton County along Highway 6. Highway Patrol troopers and Morton County sheriff’s deputies responded to assist with the pursuit. Highway Patrol troopers took over primary of the pursuit as the vehicle continued to flee along rural Morton County roads and off road to evade law enforcement. The NDHP aircraft also monitored the pursuit.
The vehicle came to a stop in the area of 44th Street and 27th Avenue in Morton County where three occupants fled on foot. The area is along the Heart River, west-southwest of Mandan. Officers searched the area on foot and by air but were not able to locate the suspects and ultimately discontinued the search.
If anyone observes the suspects, they are asked not to approach them and call 911.
The suspects were in a 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche. One male was wearing a brown shirt and the other male was wearing a red shirt or shirtless. The female was wearing a white shirt and black pants.
