Sentenced for meth-related charges
A Minot man has been sentenced to three years with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation after pleading guilty to one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, a Class B felony.
Eric Jason Faul, 48, Minot, entered his change of plea in North Central District Court on Thursday, pleading guilty to felony charge and one Class A misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Faul was arrested after the Ward County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant on his residence on Oct. 9, 2023. A search of the residence located approximately 12 grams of methamphetamine, scales, and various drug paraphernalia.
Judge Douglas Mattson sentenced Faul to serve 10 years in the DOCR for the Class B felony count, with all but three years suspended. Faul was ordered to complete three years of supervised probation upon release, and to pay $900 in court fines and fees. Faul was also sentenced to serve 360 days for the Class A misdemeanor, with credit for 269 days already served.
