A 23-year-old Minot man died Saturday when the motorcycle he was driving crashed in southeast Minot.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the crash occurred about 11:25 a.m., when the 2015 Honda motorcycle was being driven on 21st Avenue Southeast westbound toward Sixth Street Southeast.

The motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and crashed, the Highway Patrol reported. The driver was not wearing a helmet and sustained fatal injuries. His name was not released at this time.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
