BELCOURT — The search for a woman reported missing in the Turtle Mountains ended after her body was located and identified on Friday.

According to an FBI Minneapolis spokesperson, the body of Kristin Bruce was found, and an investigation into the matter is underway. Bruce was last seen riding her bike at 10 p.m. on BIA Road 10 in Belcourt the evening of May 27, and her bike was found in a ditch on May 28.

No other details or information could be provided at this time due to the ongoing investigation, but the FBI Minneapolis spokesperson indicated investigators do not believe “there is a threat to public safety” at this time.
