Alzheimer’s Association hosts caregiver presentation
The Alzheimer’s Association will offer a free, virtual presentation titled “The Empowered Caregiver: Supporting Independence” on Tuesday, July 8, from 2-3 p.m.
This class is designed to increase caregiver confidence while reducing stress. It offers helpful ways to approach the responsibilities of caring for someone living with dementia using a person-centered approach. The class focuses on helping the person living with dementia participate in daily activities, providing the right amount of support and balancing safety and independence while managing expectations.
Registration is required by contacting the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota chapter. The North Dakota Department of Health & Human Services, Adult & Aging Services Section, is providing funding for the class.
