Youth patriotic art contest winners announced
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 753 Auxiliary of Minot announces its Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest and Illustrating America Art Contest winners.
They are as follows:
Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest
– Abby Godejohn, 12th grade, Des-Lacs Burlington High School, first place Post Auxiliary level. Godejohn’s winning art was forwarded to the N.D. Department Auxiliary Scholarship chairman and there she received first place. Her art was forwarded to the VFW Auxiliary National Headquarters for judging.
– Nikalya Hillestad, 11th grade, South Prairie High School, second place Post Auxiliary level and third place Department Auxiliary level.
VFW Auxiliaries Youth Program Illustrating America Art
– Jace Heinrich, seventh grade, Velva Public School, first place Post Auxiliary level. Jace’s winning art was forwarded to the N.D. Department Auxiliary Youth chairman, and there he received first place. His art was forwarded to the VFW Auxiliary National Headquarters for judging.
– Hudson Johnston, seventh grade, Jim Hill Junior High School, second place Post Auxiliary level.
