Volunteers sought for airport emergency exercise

A full-scale emergency exercise will be conducted at Minot International Airport on June 13 to satisfy Federal Aviation Administration guidelines to conduct an exercise once every three years.

The public should expect to see morning activity on both the public and secure sides of the airport as part of this exercise.

The City of Minot seeks 50-100 volunteers to assist on the morning of the event. All volunteers will be required to attend a safety briefing at 8 a.m. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are suggested. Children are welcome to participate, as long as their guardians also are participants. A light lunch will be served during the after-action report around 11 a.m. Details closer to the event will be sent to the emails provided at sign-up.

All volunteers will need to provide the information in the questionnaire at motairport.com. Search for “form center” and select the triennial disaster exercise to access the form.

Starting at $2.99/week.
