Tioga man injured in crash near Ray
RAY – A Tioga man was injured in a crash involving a grain trailer Monday morning.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2007 Peterbilt truck being driven by the 32-year-old man was driving west on U.S. Highway 2, about three miles west of Ray at 8:12 a.m. The Peterbilt slowed down to make a right turn onto 118th Avenue Northwest when a 2021 Ford F-350 pickup being driven by a 44-year-old Tioga man struck the rear of the grain trailer.
The driver of the Peterbilt was not injured. The driver of the pickup sustained serious injuries and was transported to a Tioga hospital. The westbound lanes of Highway 2 at the scene of the crash were shut down for about five hours. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
