Public meeting set for flood project phases

A public information meeting for the MI-8 & MI-9 South Burdick Tie Back Levee phase of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project (MREFPP) has been scheduled for Thursday, June 5.

The public information meeting is sponsored by the Souris River Joint Board and will include an open house and a formal presentation by project engineers. The presentation will provide information to neighborhood property owners and community members about the current design work taking place, the anticipated project schedule and what the community can expect as the project progresses.

Phase MI-8/9 spans from Roosevelt Park Zoo to south of Burdick Expressway East, past Eighth Avenue Southeast, where it will tie into high ground.

The open house will be held at the Minot Municipal Auditorium in Room 201, 420 3rd Ave. SW, from 6:30-7 p.m., with the formal presentation at 7 p.m.
