A suspect in connection with a domestic disturbance in northwest Minot Sunday was arrested by Minot Police

According to Minot Police Department information, Minot Central Dispatch received a call from the victim, who stated Jeffrey Weigel, 38, Minot, had threatened to kill the victim and any responding law enforcement officers. The caller then ended the call, and officers were unable to re-establish connection.

After an investigation to assess the situation, officers obtained a search warrant and requested assistance from the Minot S.W.A.T team to execute it. Weigel was taken into custody without incident. The victim was unharmed.

Weigel has been charged with terrorizing and felonious restraint, both Class C felonies.
