Minot AFB senior officer to give Memorial Day address

Air Force Lt. Col. Joseph Langan will give the address at Minot’s Memorial Day program Monday. The program begins at 10:30 a.m. in Rosehill Memorial Park’s Veterans Section.
Langan is a career aircraft maintenance officer and, currently, the deputy commander of the 5th Maintenance Group at Minot Air Force Base.
Mike Harnist will serve as master of ceremonies for the program.
There will be advancement of the motorcycles of veterans and supporters, and advancement of colors by veterans organizations and auxiliaries.
The program also will include the National Anthem by Erin Likness, opening and closing prayers by the Rev. Carlyle Roth of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Pledge of Allegiance by the audience, placement of wreath by American Legion Unit 26 Auxiliary, rifle salute by American Legion Post 26, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans and TAPS by Wayne Schempp.
The program is presented in cooperation with veterans organizations and auxiliaries, Rosehill Memorial Park and the City of Minot.
