Drug-related investigations lead to multiple arrests for felony charges

Minot Police officers have arrested multiple individuals in two separate drug-related investigations — both involving individuals placed in danger due to illegal drug activity.

According to Minot Police Department information, these cases reflect the department’s continued focus on aggressively pursuing those who endanger others through the use and distribution of dangerous narcotics.

On March 16, officers responded to an apartment in southeast Minot following a report of two individuals actively overdosing. Upon arrival, officers observed substances suspected to be fentanyl inside the residence.

The Minot Police Department, in collaboration with the Ward County Narcotics Task Force, launched an immediate investigation. Through search warrants, interviews and analysis of digital evidence, law enforcement identified Travis Matthew Fletcher Kruczek, 24, and Lynn Wilson Jerauld, 21, both of Minot, as the individuals responsible for supplying the controlled substances that led to the overdoses.

As a result, the following charges were filed.

– Fletcher Kruczek: Two counts of distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death or serious bodily injury, a Class A felony; possession with intent to manufacture or deliver fentanyl, Class A felony; and tampering with physical evidence, a Class C felony.

– Jerauld: One count of distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death or serious bodily injury, a Class A felony.

Both Fletcher Kruczek and Jerauld were taken into custody and transported to the Ward County Jail.

In a separate case, the Minot Police Department assisted Child Protective Services on March 20 with the removal of three young children – an infant, a 1-year-old and a 2-year-old – from a room at a local hotel.

Subsequent testing revealed two of the children tested positive for methamphetamine. A hair follicle test could not be completed on the third child due to hair length. Detectives interviewed the children’s parents, Julio Alonso Martinez, 41, and Stephanie Ann Martinez, 28, both of Minot, both of whom admitted to using methamphetamine in the presence of the children.

As a result of the investigation, both Julio Martinez and Stephanie Martinez were taken into custody on April 25. Both were charged with three counts of child endangerment, a Class C felony.
