Dakota College announces 2025 commencement

BOTTINEAU – Dakota College at Bottineau will hold its 2025 commencement ceremony Friday, May 16, at 3 p.m. in Thatcher Hall. The commencement event also will be streamed.

Through its dual-credit program, DCB has 30 Leading to Education and Advanced Preparation (LEAP) graduates. Of these, 26 are completing a Certificate of College Studies, two are completing a Certificate of Completion, and two are completing an Associate of Science.

They represent nine North Dakota high schools, with 20 of them planning to walk at this year’s commencement ceremony.

Following are area LEAP graduates.

– Berthold: Jericka Schenfisch, Associate of Science (Summer Grad).

– Bottineau: Cassedy Brodehl, Isabel Chavez, Tukker Fedje, Hayden Halvorson and Sidney Kersten, all Certificate of College Studies; and Jocelyn Jungling, Associate of Science.

– Glenburn: Gracie Boschert, Certificate of College Studies (Summer grad).

– Kenmare: Cole Mogren and Landan Spear, both Certificate of Completion-small unmanned aircraft systems.

– Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood: Austin Lakefield, Certificate of College Studies.

– South Prairie: Skylar Beck, Natalee Becker, Brylee Beeter, Karl Behm, Amber Braasch, Brayden Francis, Madelyn Hogue, Alyssa Korgel, Brooklyn Mosser, Ivy Perez-Ramos and Maya Smith, all Certificate of College Studies.

– Surrey: MaKya Gerding, Tristian Hudson, Joshua Lindbo and Hailie Rose, all Certificate of College Studies.

– Westhope: William Artz, Walker Braaten and Jaidyn Graf, all Certificate of College Studies.

Student Emma Rybchinski, has been selected by the faculty and staff to speak at the commencement ceremony. She is from Bottineau, the daughter of Codi and Travis Rybchinski. Graduating from DCB with Liberal Arts Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees, her next steps will be to the University of North Dakota to major in nutrition and dietetics.

Rybchinski works at Building Blocks Learning Center and the Bottineau Country Club. She is a member of the Lumberjack softball team, DCB student senate, Phi Theta Kappa Chapter and is a resident assistant for Milligan Hall.
