This past month of April, the average temperature was 41.5 degrees, which is 1.1 degrees above the 118-year, long-term average of 40.4 degrees, according to Austin Kraklau of the North Central Research Extension Center, south of Minot.

He said the lowest temperature of the month was 12 degrees on April 1 and the high was 77 degrees on April 12.

The total moisture for the month was 0.93 inches, which is 0.55 inches below the long- term average of 1.48 inches, according to Kraklau.

He said the snow total for April was 3.1 inches, which is 0.9 inches below the long-term average of 4 inches.
