Ron Merritt has been named chairman of the Trinity Health Foundation Board, the foundation announced Wednesday.

Merritt is vice president of Business Development with Town & Country Credit Union in Minot.

Previously, he served as the director of the Roosevelt Park Zoo, beginning in 1998, and as the executive director of Minot Park District from 2005-2023. His leadership experience has given him the opportunity to serve as the United Way campaign chair, president and board member of the Rotary Club of Minot, honorary commander of the 91st Missile Wing and more.

As chairman of the foundation board, Merritt is responsible for board leadership, supporting the foundation staff and representing Trinity Health Foundation at events, the foundation stated in a news release. He has served as a member of the Trinity Health Foundation Board since October 2024.

“Ron brings a remarkable combination of vision, experience and community commitment to this position. His leadership will be invaluable as we continue to grow our impact and advance our mission of making a positive difference in the health and wellness of people in our region,” Foundation Director Dusty Zimmerman said in the release.
