Street sweeping in residential areas begins May 6

Street sweeping crews from the City of Minot have been cleaning sand and other debris that accumulated on city streets during the winter months and will soon begin sweeping in residential areas.

Crews spent recent weeks sweeping snow routes and other locations in Minot, including hills.

Beginning May 6, crews will begin sweeping in quadrants of the city. The street sweeping schedule is as follows.

– May 6-16: Northeast quadrant

– May 20-May 30: Northwest quadrant

– June 3-13: Southwest quadrant

– June 17-27: Southeast quadrant

The city uses Broadway and Burdick Expressway as dividing lines for the four quadrants. Residents are encouraged to restrict on-street vehicle parking and, if possible, place their garbage/recycling cans on the berm instead of in the street when sweepers are scheduled to be in their quadrant.

If crews finish cleaning a quadrant sooner than expected, they will move into the next quadrant ahead of schedule.

Starting at $2.99/week.
