Free online class offered for caregivers
The Alzheimer’s Association will offer a free virtual presentation, “The Empowered Caregiver: Supporting Independence,” on Tuesday, April 22, from 10-11 a.m.
Empowered Caregiving is designed to increase caregiver confidence while reducing stress. It offers helpful ways to approach the responsibilities of caring for someone living with dementia using a person-centered approach. This class focuses on helping the person living with dementia participate in daily activities, providing the right amount of support and balancing safety and independence while managing expectations.
The presentation is free and open to the public. Registration is required by contacting the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota.
The project is funded through the North Dakota Department of Health & Human Services, Adult & Aging Services Section.
