The Alzheimer’s Association will offer a free webinar presentation, “The Empowered Caregiver: Communicating Effectively,” on Monday, May 12, from noon-1 p.m. The presentation is free to the public.

This class is designed to increase caregiver confidence while reducing stress. It offers helpful ways to approach the responsibilities of caring for someone living with dementia using a person-centered approach.It also focuses on how dementia affects communication, including tips for communicating well with family, friends, and health care professionals.

Registration is required by contacting the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-Dakota Chapter. The project is funded through the North Dakota Department of Health & Human Services, Adult & Aging Services Section.
