One person injured, horses died in intersection crash
One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash involving a van and a pickup pulling a trailer with horses at the intersection of Highways 83 and 23, south of Minot, on Friday.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 7:17 a.m. when a 20-year-old male driver of a 2019 Ford Econoline van did not yield and struck a 2011 GMC Sierra pickup driven by a 34-year-old female.
The woman received minor injuries and was taken to a Minot hospital.
The names of the drivers were not released.
Two of the horses died and a third was transported away from the crash scene, according to the Highway Patrol.
