One person was hospitalized following a fire at a mobile home in northwest Minot on Tuesday.

According to City of Minot information, the Minot Fire Department was dispatched to the fire at 5 a.m. Responding crews were informed while en route that an occupant was still inside the home and unable to exit due to fire conditions.

Firefighters arrived on the scene and successfully located and removed the sole occupant from the residence. The resident received medical treatment on site for smoke inhalation and was transported to a Minot hospital.

The fire was contained to a single bedroom within the mobile home, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
