Business funding available through internship program

FARGO – The North Dakota Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (ND EPSCoR) has announced applications are being accepted for the Students in Technology Transfer and Research (STTAR) program.

STTAR helps North Dakota-based businesses fund paid internships for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) undergraduate and graduate students from the state’s colleges and universities.

ND EPSCoR partially funds the student’s wage at $7.50 per hour, for up to $3,600 per student. Interns hired by participating businesses must be paid a minimum wage of $15 per hour. Reimbursement for internships must occur between May and August of 2025 for a minimum of eight weeks. Allocation of positions is based on the availability of funds.

Participating businesses do not have to be a technology company to be eligible for assistance. However, the research effort or specific problem to be addressed by the intern must have its foundation in STEM.

Starting at $2.99/week.
