Tree brings festive touch to Minot North
Minot North High School has added a festive touch to its commons area with a new 12-foot, pre-lit Christmas tree, bringing holiday cheer to students, staff and visitors. The stunning addition was made possible by a donation from Walmart, facilitated by the efforts of the school’s National Honor Society advisers, Teresa Marquart and Kristina Byer, according to a news release.
The tree, now a permanent fixture for the holiday season, will be adorned with custom ornaments crafted by various student organizations each year. This community-centered tradition aims to celebrate the creativity and unity of the school while fostering the holiday spirit, the release stated.
“On behalf of the entire Minot North community, we are grateful for Walmart’s generosity and commitment to supporting our local schools. This is a special time of year, and this really helps Minot North continue to build upon our incredible climate and culture,” Marquart said in the release.
“Minot North High School is beyond grateful to our Minot Walmart. We are blessed to have such strong community support.” said Dr. Travis Smith, assistant principal.
This annual symbol of togetherness reflects the school’s dedication to a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for everyone who walks through its doors, the release stated. A sign expressing appreciation for the donation will be displayed with the tree each season, honoring Walmart’s role in making this tradition possible.
