Local schools compete at State One-Act Play contest
Students from five area schools took part in the Class B State One-Act Play contest in Jamestown in November.
The contest was held on Nov. 25-26 at Jamestown High School and the University of Jamestown, where each of the competing schools performed their play in the effort to reach a final round of competition. The thespians of South Prairie High School placed fourth in the finals for their performance of “How to Get Away With a Murder Mystery,” while Kindred took home the top prize for their performance of “The Day the Internet Died.”
Josh Lindbo of South Prairie, Aleece Meek of New Town, Nela McKibben of Carrington, Alexis LaParra of Stanley, and Emily Countess of Drake-Anamoose were amongst the recipients of Superior Actor Awards.
