Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign begins Friday
Law enforcement across the state will have extra patrols to remove impaired drivers from the road during the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign from Friday, Dec. 13 – Friday, Jan. 31, 2025.
In 2023, one alcohol-related crash occurred about every 13 hours and an alcohol-related traffic death occurred about every 10 days. Alcohol-related crashes, deaths and arrests are 100% preventable by driving sober or finding a sober ride, according to North Dakota Department of Transportation information.
“Celebrating responsibly this holiday season means taking care of yourself and those around you. Join the many who prioritize driving sober or finding a sober driver,” said Ward County Sheriff Robert Roed.
The campaign is part of the Vision Zero strategy to eliminate motor vehicle crash fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads.
