Dr. Robert Kibler, Minot State University English professor, and Andy Heitkamp, MSU Military Resource Center director, have once again joined forces for the second annual Veterans Day Poem Contest.

All MSU students, staff, faculty and Minot community members are invited to honor the nation’s military heritage through the art of poetry. Participants can share their voices and perspectives on “What I Have to Say About the U.S. Military.”

Submissions are open for poems of 50 words or fewer. The deadline is noon on Friday, Nov. 8. Categories include student, faculty, staff and community. Category winners will receive a $20 gift certificate, and a $50 grand prize will be awarded to the overall winner.
