Tea in the Trees kicks off Festival of Trees

Tea in the Trees will kick off the annual Festival of Trees at the N.D. State Fair Center on Friday, Nov. 22, from noon-4 p.m. Set against the backdrop of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, the event features local musicians and dancers, homemade holiday treats and warm beverages for a free-will donation.

The two-day Festival of Trees, hosted by Dakota Hope Clinic, includes activities on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22-23, including a bake sale, silent auction, raffle, more than 20 vendor booths and family photo booth..

Children's activities on Friday include bounce houses and a visit with Santa. New this year, Christian illusionist David Laflin will perform his magic for all ages at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Additional attractions on Saturday include a 5K Run and 1 mile Family Fun Run as well as horse-drawn wagon rides, interactive nativity with live animals, petting zoo and pony rides.

The Festival of Trees concludes with a dinner and live auction on Saturday, Nov. 23, featuring music, stories of hope and a dinner buffet. Proceeds benefit Dakota Hope Clinic's mission to provide free life-affirming pregnancy, parenting and family support at its locations in Minot, Tioga and Bottineau.
