The Minot Elks Lodge #1089 recently used its $3,500 Gratitude Grant from the Elks National Foundation to assist six area organizations, according to a news release from the lodge.
The grants are:
-- $500 to purchase 15 twin sheet sets and 18 pairs of pajamas for the Domestic Violence Crisis Center.
-- $500 to Mouse River Players Children's Theatre.
-- $500 to Second Story Club for people with disabilities.
-- $500 to the North Dakota Firefighters Museum for fire safety education.
-- $500 to Men's Winter Refuge.
-- $1,000 to the Backpack Buddies Program.
