Truck driver dies in Williams County crash
WILLISTON – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has reported a 29-year-old Williston man has died after sustaining fatal injuries when his truck rolled over.
According to Highway Patrol information, the driver was headed north in a 2007 Peterbilt truck near the intersection of 130th Road Northwest and 48th Street Northwest, about three miles southeast of Williston. The Peterbilt drove off the road right and the driver steered left in an attempt to correct and get back onto the road. The truck rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its top. The driver was not wearing his seat belt.
The driver sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to a Williston hospital. The driver was later flown to a Minot hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. His name will be released pending notification of next of kin.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
