Symphony, Taube to hold Idea Exchange: Fundraising for the Future

The Minot Symphony Orchestra and Taube Museum of Art have announced a community-driven event, “Idea Exchange: Fundraising for the Future,” an open forum aimed at generating fresh and innovative fundraising ideas to support the two local nonprofits.

The event will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Taube Museum of Art, located at 2 N. Main St.

In response to the need for a new fundraising initiative to replace the Great Tomato Festival, the Minot Symphony and Taube are reaching out to the community for input and creative suggestions. This collaborative forum will serve as a platform for supporters to share their ideas, discuss potential concepts and contribute to the development of a new event that will continue to support the arts and culture in Minot.

Attendees can expect an evening of brainstorming and discussion, with light snacks provided, according to a joint news release.

“The community has been so supportive of the arts in Minot, and we want to put together an event for the community, and we believe that the best ideas will come from our supporters and community members,” said Ellen Fenner, executive director of the Minot Symphony Orchestra, in the release. “We’re eager to hear from our community and supporters about how we can create an exciting new event that resonates with everyone and supports the arts in Minot.”

“We are thrilled to host this open forum and look forward to the diverse range of ideas that will emerge,” added Rachel Alfaro, executive director of the Taube Museum of Art, in the release. “This event represents an opportunity for us to come together as a community and build something special for the future.”

The Idea Exchange is open to everyone. No RSVP is required, but early arrival is encouraged as space is limited.

Starting at $2.99/week.
